Ann Coulter Shocker!

Much to the shock of television host Donny Deutsch, Ann Coulter said America would be better off if everyone were a Christian.
Read the article and transcript here. First, let’s get the truth out about Ann’s position on Christianity and Judaism. If you read the transcript she views Jews as having to follow rules, and therefore having a difficult time getting to heaven, but they will make it. Christians, she says, simply rely on Jesus and don’t have to worry about all those rules. A quick read of the Bible proves this view false. Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments” (Jn. 14:15). John wrote, “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome” (1 Jn. 5:3). We are required to keep the law of Christ. It is not optional and does not negate the sacrifice of Christ. He offers forgiveness through His blood, but also lays down the conditions on which that blessing is received (Matt. 28:19, 20; Mk. 16:15, 16; Lk. 24:46, 47; Acts 2:38; Rom. 10:9-13). He has a right to, after all (Matt. 28:18). The Old Testament was insufficient to take away sins (Heb. 10:4). Besides, it has been abolished (Heb. 7:12-14). Therefore, no man practicing it will go to heaven (Gal. 5:1-4). Having said this, we move on… Deutsch and many other elitists cannot believe anyone would be so narrow-minded as to think everyone should be a Christian. Their view of the world is: the more diverse the better. They do not believe in absolute truth, but relative truth. What is right for one is not right for another. Your experiences and situation dictate your convictions and actions; and they are all equally valid. The Bible teaches there is absolute truth that can and should be known and practiced by all men (Jn. 8:32; 17:17-23). All men everywhere are commanded to repent and believe in Jesus (Acts 17:30, 31). If they do not, they will perish in hell (Jn. 8:24; Lk. 13:3). Yes, America would be better if everyone were a true Christian. |
