Should You Wear A Cross?
Wise Words
Dear Steven

My apologies to everyone. There was an operator error last week. That is, I am the operator and I was in error. The link for Jesse Flower's article was wrong. It is correct in this issue. I strongly encourage you to read the article.

Over the past couple of days we have had rain, ice, sleet, and snow. It is really neat, until you have to get around in it. But then, it is not too bad. We have cars to drive around in. I cannot imagine the pioneers and folks from long ago hiking through the ice and snow to go very far, but they often did. Even riding a horse would be very different than a heated car sheltered from the elements. There are many things of yester-year to be admired, this is not one of them for me.

There is a point to be made. Those of us who live in the USA often take for granted the many blessings and comforts of life we enjoy. We ought to use these blessings to serve God and fellow man; and be thankful for them.

Thanks for reading.

Steven

Three Sundays Ago
By Jesse Flowers
I worshiped with a church that had perfect attendance. I'm quite sure this was the first time I had experienced such. I understand it is a regular occurrence at this congregation. They had 170 in attendance for Sunday Bible class, Sunday worship, and 170 in attendance on Wednesday.

the building decays,
And through idleness of hands
the house leaks.
